A man has been flown to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition after the car he was driving crashed into a house in Clifton Springs, near Geelong, on Saturday morning.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the man, who was the only person in the car, had to be rescued from the vehicle.
"He was trapped for an hour," Mr Mullen said. "He has pelvic and internal injuries, leg injuries and possibly head injuries. He is in a critical condition."
Police are at the scene.
Victoria Police spokesman Luke Zammit said the car was believed to be travelling along Bay Shore Road about 7.35am when the driver lost control and struck a residential property before crashing into the neighbouring house.
"No one was home at either of the houses at the time," Mr Zammit said. "The first house struck sustained minor damage, while the front of the second house involved was extensively damaged.
"The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing."
