PGA Legends Tour co-ordinator Andy Rogers has flagged the potential for Midlands Golf Club to grow its stature on the professional circuit.

The club has just completed the inaugural staging of the Victorian Senior Masters and will already be plotting for next year’s competition.
“We’d love to come back here,” Rogers said on the opening day of the tournament.
“(There’s) very few events we have where we don’t want to continue.”
Rogers said it will be good for prizemoney – set at $30,000 this year – to increase over time, with the potential for the club to host a major tournament in the future.
“You never know, in eight or nine years time, it might be the Australian Senior Masters here,” he said.
