White Night revellers heading to Melbourne's all-night party on Saturday suffered a setback when their tram collided with a van on St Kilda Road.

The crash, which happened near the corner of Coventry Street about 10pm, took firefighters nearly an hour to clear.
Yarra Trams spokesman Simon Murphy said the route 6 tram collided with the van as it neared the event.
"Because of White Night tonight, all the trams along St Kilda Road were terminating at the arts precinct," he said.
"We did have, obviously, changes in place for White Night anyway, but passengers could still get to the arts precinct at Southbank Boulevard, and also down Kings Way as far as City Road as well.
"So, we were still running services to the city even though that section was disrupted."
No injuries were reported.
"I think the tram was reasonably full because it was about 10pm so people would have been heading in," Mr Murphy said.
"The good thing is that there was no injuries reported to anybody on the tram."
