UnitingCare Ballarat is holding its fifteenth annual Pancake relay race to raise awareness about the plight of the city’s homelessness.
Shrove Tuesday is traditionally the final day to eat all the fat, eggs and dairy products in your kitchen before the start of Lent.
But for UnitingCare it marks the day of its biggest fundraiser of the year.
This year, Ballarat sporting identity Steve Moneghetti will oversee the annual pankcake flipping relay.
Ballarat Miners Basketball players, the Power FM Breakfast team, and WIN News presenters will battle it out for a slice of pancake glory.
Hundreds of pancakes are expected to be sold, with the proceeds to going towards programs for homeless people in Ballarat.
The event will be held from 10.30am to 11.30am this Tuesday at the carpark in front of the Federation campus at 107 Lydiard Street South.
