Mr Radley uses the laser therapy machine to help fix a wide range of ailments, from skin conditions to arthritis, strokes to post surgical wounds, fibromyalgia to diabetic ulcers.
It can also be used in enhancing sports performance, flexibility and muscle recovery.
“It’s cutting edge treatment,” Mr Radley said.
“There are only three machines this size in the world.”
Mr Radley, a former nurse, said the Feel Free Laser Therapy mainly worked at reducing inflammation and stimulating cellular activity.
“The future of light therapy is very exciting – it’s not a pseudo science.”
Laser therapy works by targeting parts of the body with correct wavelengths and light density for a period of time, allowing cell metabolism to improve.
Mr Radley is a member of the Australia Laser Institute and has worked as a consultant for the world’s largest laser therapy company.
“I’ve been treating clinically for 15 years. Internationally, this is a well-known modality.
“It can treat the whole body.”
Mr Radley said more people were turning to laser therapy to be pro-active and prevent chronic illness, rather than waiting until they are very ill.
“It’s great for circulation, it lowers blood pressure – there’s no down side to it.”
Mr Radley has been operating Feel Free Laser Therapy from the Ballarat Business Centre in Dawson Street for the past six months.
“I’ve always been involved in the medical field but people get bogged down in one way of doing things.
“You have to look at what’s better. Your body loves light and you’re not putting any drugs into it.
“There’s no side effects.”
Mr Radley said it was also effective in helping sports people improve their fitness and recover from injuries.
“It’s sort of like going to the gym but you don’t get all the aches and pains.”
