Maniacs 10 lost to Tania’s Team 38 and the mighty Flappers 35 beat the Secondary Teachers 13.

Meanwhile, on courts 9 and 10 Hobson’s Heroes and friends spent a relaxing evening just hitting a few balls around.

Saturday

On Saturday afternoon two sections competed in perfect autumnal conditions.

Section 1

Visitor Kelvin Noonan’s superior courtcraft  won Section 1 with 21/12, ahead of Pete Ekstedt’s 21/17. Lewis Ingham was third with 17/15, ahead of Brian Hurse 19/18.

Section 2

On Thursday nights players can just turn up to see what happens for the next few weeks until daylight saving ends.

Saturday afternoon tennis will continue until Easter and possibly beyond, weather dependent.
