Gillian Eastoe and Terry Murray are back....and after a sell out run of Sex, Drugs & British Rock and Spicks & Spectacles they're bringing a brand new show, Oi Oi Oi.
As you may have gathered, they're going to be performing all Australia songs. A fair bet, you’ll hear the likes of Men At Work, the Oils, Powderfinger, Spiderbait and the Easybeats.
Saturday, On the Stoop @ Horvat’s Supper Club
Down the deadly Hume from Sydney come the irrepressible On the Stoop.
With a second album on it’s way, this six piece horn-driven ensemble is fresh from a bunch of festivals and a slot at the Sydney Opera House.
Their latest single, State Trooper, a cover of the Springsteen classic, has received massive support from Sydney radio and ABC Radio National, and in 2017 the band are set to release some new material.
Mariachi, Balkan, New Orleans swing, spaghetti western, cabaret, film score, cumbia, punk rock are all represented in this band.
Thursday, Lauren Lee Williams and Kenny Joe Blake @ Horvat’s Supper Club
Grammy-nominated songwriter and ex-3RRR radio presenter/sideman Kenny Joe Blake, and prize-winning poet turned songwriter, Lauren Lee Williams, will make you laugh and ponder, with their humorous, lived-in tales.
These two veteran wordsmiths play honest, original, acoustic roots music and have been working as a duo since last year.
Kenny Joe was nominated for three Grammys in 1998 for a song he wrote for Peter Caulton. Slim Dusty recorded two songs Kenny wrote for Slim's last album.
Lauren Lee Williams is a published poet; her fourth book, Cleanskin Poems was released this year, where she she switched to songwriting after 25 years penning various poems.
