Trigger found the net twice in the first half and three more times after the break to lead his side to a 7-0 triumph over a battling Bendigo City outfit that sits winless on the bottom of the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 west table.
One of Trigger’s pieces of brilliance saw him score from just inside the Ballarat attacking half with a shot that flew over the goal-keeper’s head.
Sean Romein and Will Georgiou were Ballarat’s other scorers in a night to remember for the club.
“It was one of those games that could not have gone any better,” Ballarat coach Danny Gnjidic said.
Ballarat’s success took its winning run to three games, with 13 goals coming in those fixtures.
The team now prepares for a cross-conference encounter with Melbourne City next Saturday.
