PARENTS of children with Down syndrome will be informed of the opportunities their children can embrace through a series of information sessions.
Down Syndrome Victoria will run a dinner on April 27 and the following three workshops on April 28.
Early days support workshop, living life to the full and navigating the early years will inform parents of the support opportunities open to people with Down syndrome.
Adult support worker Yvonne Harris said the series of events provided a relaxed networking opportunity for parents and carers.
“It is about supporting families through the process. It’s about ensuring families have the support in place to offer everyone the equal opportunity to live the life they want to live.” Details: downsyndromevictoria.org.au
