Sadly, Ms Elliott leaves behind two young children, who she had shared a special bond with.
Her close mate Emily Vincent grew up with Ms Elliott in the same Newington street and was at a loss to explain the cause of the accident along Pleasant Street South.
“It was slippery, she didn’t like driving the ute, it wasn’t her car, she had a smaller car," Ms Vincent said.
Ms Elliott's passion was all things hair, and she ran a business making dreadlocks with clients in her Sebastopol home.
It was through this shared love that Ms Elliott and Ms Vincent rekindled their friendship over recent years.
“Amanda had a quirky personality and a heart of gold basically, we shared the same passion with hair and we clicked,” Ms Vincent said.
"I can’t believe it. It all just seems like a bad dream my beautiful friend … (I) can’t believe it is you.
“You are going to be sadly missed."
Tributes have poured in for the young mum over social media, with many in Ballarat rallying to the support of Ms Elliott's family.
One resident wrote on Facebook: “Very sad day for the family, sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl”.
Meanwhile, Ballarat’s CFA brigade made a heartfelt plea to drivers to take care on the roads after a rescue crew rushed to the scene of Ms Elliott’s accident, touching many firefighters in its wake.
“This is the third fatal collision our members have attended this year,” a spokesman said.
“Our members ask that every driver takes extra care while on the roads and arrive safely.
“Crews have seen a increase in rescue calls this year and, with the road toll still rising, we are all hoping the road trauma starts to slow down”.
Eighty-nine people have died on Victoria’s roads this year.
