A Kangaroo Flat resident is warning others after he received a scam phone call.
Graeme Stretton said a man called his Kangaroo Flat address just after 5pm today, saying there was an issue with his computer.
“They told me I had some sort of infection,” he said.
“He was quite insistent that because my computer had a problem I should go to the address he gave me and download a program.”
Mr Stretton was given a web address, telstraserver.ga, and was told to install software.
He said the website carried Telstra logos and was concerned other people could fall victim to the scam.
Scams can be reported to the ACCC via the SCAMwatch report a scam page.
