On a challenging course, which incorporated a barrier crossing and leg sapping ascents, Williams demonstrated an outstanding transition from the track to claim the men’s under-18 4km cross country title.
Fellow Ballarat athlete Andrew Amor finished in second place.
Meanwhile, Sharp finished strongly to take out the men’s under-16 3km title.
He has carried his good form into the winter season after being crowned the Australian 2km steeplechase champion in April.
Paul Burge ran strongly to place third in the men’s 40+ 8km, picking up the country title in the process.
Ballarat athletes brought home a haul of medals in the country titles with Joel Duffy winning the under-20 event, Michelle Hawkes second in the 40+ and Ben Ludbrook third in the under-16 race.
