Sammii Williams, 22, was alerted her car was on fire in the backyard of her Raglan Parade home about 3.30am by her housemate.
“The car was about two metres away from my back door and petrol line was leading to my back door,” she said.
While relieved her boys Jarwyn, 5, and Jyda, 2, were not injured, Miss Williams has been left shaken by the incident.
“It is completely destroyed, everything in it as well,” Miss Williams said.
In the vehicle was two car seats and a Samsung tablet.
Miss Williams said she saved up for months to purchase the car and it wasn’t insured.
“Now it’s gone,” she said.
“I’m still in shock but I’m just focusing on my beautiful boys and keeping their minds busy as they are fairly traumatised.”
Miss Williams said she was concerned about how she would get around.
“I'm going to struggle to take my son to school every morning.
“I don't really have a way of getting around as my mum works a lot,” she said.
One of her friends has started a Go Fund Me page for the struggling single mum.
In a heartfelt post, the creator of the page urged others to help Miss Williams.
“She is on a single parent’s payment and already doing it tough as it is,” the Go Fund Me post reads.
Sergeant Callum McKinnon, of Warrnambool police, said the owner of the vehicle raised the alarm at 3.30am.
When police and firefighters arrived, a 2003 Holden Commodore was fully engulfed with flames.
Sergeant McKinnon said the fire was being treated as suspicious.
He said a crime scene had been set up and an arson investigator had been sent to the property.
