The Rangers defeated Ballarat Skoda Rush by 17 points in Dandenong on Sunday, which helped them jump from third to first position on the south conference ladder in the South East Australian Basketball League women’s competition.
In stark contrast, Rush remains on the bottom of the ladder with eight straight losses.
After falling short in the first half, Rush came back in the third quarter to cut the lead to a manageable eight points.
But the Rangers dominated the final quarter, restricting Rush to just nine points.
While Rush import Jaterra Bonds top scored with 24 points, the Rangers had more contributors and were more accurate.
Joy Burke came close to a double double in her return to the side.
