Orren Stephenson’s second appearance for Redan was short lived after he suffered a strained hamstring within the first 10 minutes of the match.
The North Ballarat Roosters’ board had granted Stephenson a local interchange permit for the day, which allowed the VFL-listed player to line up with his home club.
Ladder-leader Darley had a dominate performance over East Point, coming out of the match as 94-point victors.
A haul of nine from dominant key forward Kyle Docherty helped ensure the large margin.
While Lake Wendouree, which sits just behind Darley on percentage, enjoyed a 72-point win over North Ballarat City.
Former North Ballarat Rooster Lucas Anderson had a day out with seven goals for the Lakers, while forwards Nathan Pring with five and Jack Elkington with four were other key contributors.
The two undefeated sides meet next weekend for a top-of-the-table clash at Darley Park.
Meanwhile, Melton South snatched a spot in the top four with a convincing 70-point win over Ballarat.
Mitchell Banner kicked seven for the Panthers, while Brendan Fevola was the side’s fourth-best on the score board with three.
Matthieu Brehaut had the most goals for Ballarat with four.
