Officers said the victim accidentally left his wallet on a counter in the town’s Aldi supermarket on Main Street after paying for his groceries on May 26.
It was then a woman dressed in a dark sweater and blue pants snatched the wallet when she thought nobody was looking after the man had left.
But police confirmed the woman was seen picking up the wallet before she left the store.
Police called on public assistance to help identify the woman depicted in the image.
