Jason Greishan Crawford briefly appeared in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. He did not make a bail application and was remanded in custody.
Charge sheets obtained by The Courier state Crawford was charged with two offences on Tuesday.
He faces one count of stealing a vehicle and immediately before or at the time did put or seek to put another person or anyone else in fear of force.
The second offence outlined on the charge sheets is dealing with property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, namely three pairs of jeans, a baseball style cap and a pair of Jackaroo brand work boots.
Magistrate Gregory Robinson remanded Crawford in custody after the brief court hearing. He will reappear in court on September 28.
