Ten-year-old Jake is sitting first on points in the 65 B grade class and the 85 SW B grade class, while eight-year-old Zak is sitting in third in the 50 cc class.
In round three, held in Rosebud earlier this month, Jake won all three of his 85 SW races, and finished third overall in the 65 cc class.
Zac entered the round in second place, but dropped to third after finding it more difficult with the tough conditions the track presented.
He is now two points behind second heading into round four.
Jake is aiming high after finishing second in the state in his class last year, and third the year before.
He is looking to go one better this year and is racing for the number one plate.
The fourth and final round of the championships takes place in Wonthaggi on July 22 – 23.
The brothers from Meredith also both sit in first place in their respective classes in the Western Regions Series, which consists of rounds in Warrnambool, Ararat, Ballarat, Colac, Horsham and Portland.
Jake has won his Western Regions class the past two consecutive years, while Zak is leading his class by one point and is hoping to hold on with two more rounds to go in Horsham and Portland.
