It’s believed two victims were sitting in a parked car before they were suddenly approached by four people driving in two vehicles in the early hours of Monday.
Getting out of their cars, one of the offenders produced a gun and fired into the air, yelling at the victim to hand over their car keys and possessions about 3.45am.
The gunman then leapt into the victim’s car and sped off with their accomplices in the other two vehicles.
The victims ran to a nearby house for assistance.
Police said nobody was injured.
The incident is being investigated by Victoria Police’s armed crime squad detectives, who are based in Melbourne
