BFNL investigating Melton South incident

The Ballarat Football Netball League has released a statement in relation to an incident that saw Ambulance Victoria paramedics delay treating a Melton South player with a broken leg.

“The McDonalds Ballarat Football Netball League is aware of a series of events that occurred on Saturday 15th July at the Melton Recreation Reserve surrounding an injured Melton South player,” the statement read.

“The BFNL is currently in the process of investigating the matter involving Ambulance Victoria Officers and will not be making any further comment until such time as our investigation is complete.”

A two-person paramedic crew left Melton Recreation Reserve without treating Daniel Vasjuta after what they described as being verbally threatened and intimidated by a group of people – a claim disputed by Panthers president Brendan Morrissey.
