V/Line Ballarat service punctuality improves in July

V/Line has continued its upward performance trend on the Ballarat line in July but remains a long way from its stated goal of 92 per cent punctuality.

Almost 88 per cent of Ballarat trains arrived within six minutes of their stated time for the month, an increase of four per cent on the June statistics.  Reliability figures stayed healthy, with just 1.9 per cent of cancelled. 

The figures come just days after the Victorian Auditor-General released a scathing review of the entire V/Line service.
