A large section of the popular playground was closed following the attack on July 9.
Ballarat Apex initially put out a call to arms for community help to rebuild, however it proved unnecessary as Ballarat City Council instead swung into action.
A council Facebook post on Wednesday morning said work was completed to remove the damaged section and construct new wooden components.
Apex president Matthew Stevens said the finished restoration of the playground was really good for the community.
“We are pretty happy with how quickly it was done, and pretty happy with how it turned out,” he said.

"It was done quickly and painlessly with no complaints.
“We got lots of offers of support from people who can remember playing there when they were kids and now their kids play on it.”
Council’s facilities maintenance team completed the restoration.
This included the removal of the burnt tower section, replacing the soft fall ground and a paint job.
Council infrastructure and environment director Terry Demeo said council had not needed external support to cover the cost of the rebuild.
“The cost of repairing the Lake Wendouree Adventure Playground damage was about $40,000 including all materials, external contractor costs and all internal labour charges,” he said.
“The council did not seek external support for the project due to adequate insurance covering all costs and the fact the repairs were considered urgent given the important role the playground has in Ballarat’s recreational culture.
“The City of Ballarat has worked very hard to ensure the damaged part of the playground was repaired and able to be enjoyed again.”
With the playground once again open to Ballarat children, Apex has decided to investigate further proposed upgrades to the site.
This would include a complete repainting of the sections left untouched by the arson attack and a new fence to separate the playground from the road.
