King took out the players’ player award, best and fairest and the coaches award in a fruitful night for the midfielder. A toe injury interrupted King’s pre-season, stopping him from training before Christmas, but once he got going in the season, he showed his value. Coach Danny Gnjidic said King delivered an “outstanding” season.
Shaun Romein came second in the best and fairest vote count. Young gun Josh De Voogel received the encouragement award while Tate Griffin won the under-20’s best and fairest and Josh Lynch took home the players’ player award.
Dom Swinton received the leading goal-kicker award with his 10 goals for the season while Lachlan Wright kicked eight to win the under-20’s leading goal-kicker.
