The 14-year-old claimed gold in the girls triples division and bronze in the girls fours category.
This helped her Victorian side finish as winners of the overall girls trophy, which is for the best performed team at the tournament.
Kurzman’s mother Jodie said the results were a big thrill for her daughter, who was attending just her first national carnival.
“Everyone told her it was an exceptionally good effort for somebody’s first nationals,” she said.
Kurzman is a year nine student at Loreto College.
Meanwhile, day two of the Ballarat District Bowls Division men’s over-60 singles championships were played on Tuesday at Invermay.
Four players have won through to this Thursday’s next stage. Invermay Bowing Club will host the games, with play to begin from 10am.
The two winners of these matches will then play off in the final for the championship in the afternoon.
Mt Xavier’s Brian McKeegan had a win over Wayne Morgan from Buninyong and will go on to play Daylesford’s Winston Silbereisen, who won his match over Steve Gollan, also from Buninyong.
In the other semi-final, Sebastopol’s Ian Warner, who had a tight match on Tuesday against Central Wendouree’s Col Johnson, will play fellow Kookaburras bowler Richard Haddrick.
Haddrick had previously defeated David O’Sullivan from City Oval.
Tournament manager Tom Clarke said this year’s event was well received with a total of 48 entries taken to contest the championships.
This Saturday will see the commencement of the 2017-18 weekend pennant season, with a total of 1,428 Ballarat bowlers taking to the greens in round one.
There will be three more teams participating in this season’s division nine competition, which brings the total number of sides to seven.
Beaufort will have the bye in the opening round.
At the other end of the spectrum, Ballarat Memorial Sports is set to return to the Ballarat-Geelong premier division after a five-year absence.
Both Buninyong and City Oval have been relegated from that competition and return to play in the BDBD division one ranks.
They finished last and second last on the ladder respectively in 2016-17.
On Monday, Central Wendouree and Webbcona displayed their new uniforms for the commencement of the midweek pennant season.
Previously, both clubs had different shirts for midweek and weekend pennant competition.
