Richmond released its schedule for its tour this week, but Ballarat was a notable omission from the list.
Instead, it will visit other regional cities such as Bendigo, Mildura, Echuca and Shepparton.
It will also head interstate, including Sydney, Darwin, Gold Coast, Perth and Hobart.
This comes despite two homegrown Ballarat boys (Shaun Grigg and Dan Butler) and two other North Ballarat Rebels (David Astbury and Daniel Rioli) playing a crucial role in the yellow and black premiership.
The cup tour begins on Friday in Richmond, with the regional tour to begin in a week.
