Police searched Simon Rossiter’s Ballarat home on May 25 and located 80 grams of amphetamines – 27 times the traffickable amount – $10,000 cash and a mobile phone in a gym bag.
More cash was located inside the house totalling $20,000 which police believed to be proceeds of crime.
A police summary states Rossiter admitted to using amphetamines daily.
He was interviewed by police but refused to comment.
Rossiter was convicted and sentenced to an 18-month community corrections order at Ballarat Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The order includes 100 hours of community work and assessment and treatment for drug abuse.
