The Arts Academy’s End of Year Exhibition launches on Friday and is open to the public until November 19.
Graduating student Sarah Caruana said she had surprised herself when creating Transcending Elements.
“My work is ultimately about stillness and beauty, and how we connect with that,” she said.
“It’s exciting to be towards the end, but also very nerve-wracking in regards to our work, because you know how successful you are with your work from how the public responds to it.”
Director of Ballarat Arts Academy Bryce Ives said Showcase 2017 was the culmination of three years of study in performance.
“With this our students are committing to being elite performers, and from here they’re going to do groundbreaking work for Australian storytelling,” he said.
Showcase 2017 will run Thursday to Saturday at 7pm, Post Office Box Theatre.
