Ballarat City Council has failed to make any progress in the search for a new home for its Harmony sculpture.

Council infrastructure and environment director Terry Demeo said in June a new location would be confirmed later this year.
However no alternate locations have been considered.
The Harmony sculpture was installed on a roundabout at the intersection of Ripon and Mair streets, but later removed because of complaints, before spending time at Alfred Deakin Place.
Golden Point resident Michelle Dunn said Wednesday’s marriage equality postal survey result showed it was time find the sculpture a permanent home.
“Seventy-one of Ballarat people have shown their support for the LGBTQI community and what a great to celebrate that support,” she said.
“People felt as though everyone was welcome, and it was such a shame council are afraid, and Australia has shown it is not.”
Ballarat City mayor Samantha McIntosh said any new home for the sculpture would have to fit the area’s heritage and visual impact.
