One small child who was the lucky recipient of a Captain America toy last year treasured his gift so much it has slept on his pillow ever since.
This year children and adults with disabilities are in for another Christmas treat after the staff donated bags of gifts to Pinarc on Monday.
City of Ballarat chief executive Justine Linley said the reach Pinarc has to some of the people in greatest need was really important.
“We know the work that they do really taps into what we need to do in Ballarat,” Ms Linley said.
The donation was the second year council staff delivered gifts to the disability support agency.
Pinarc chief executive Marianne Hubbard said people with disabilities especially need to know they’re cared for. “This is a wonderful gesture to say we see you, we know that you’re really important and we care,” Ms Hubbard said.
