The McDonald’s crew members will fly out of Australia on Sunday to take part in a seven-night study trip to Los Angeles to learn about customer service.
Bethany, 19, and Elijah, 19, from McDonald’s Wendouree and Maddeline, 21, from McDonald’s Lucas were among more than 10,800 staff who took part in the Super Crew competition.
Participants selected a specialty area to compete in, which included front counter, back of house, drive-thru and McCafè, and scored points for efficiency, accuracy and quality.
As top competitors in the state, the Ballarat crew members earned a spot on the all-expenses paid trip.
“I’ve learnt so much behind the counter at Macca’s Wendouree and it’s was great to put those skills to the test during Super Crew,” Bethany said.
“I’m really excited to join the rest of the winners in LA and learn from the best in the business.”
Elijah described the challenge as fun and said it was exciting to have won.
