Victorian Lyle, 36, who had a stem cell transplant from his brother Lleyton in December, today announced that the operation had been successful with a 100 per cent graft.
The former PGA Tour player has twice beaten cancer, as a teenager in Shepparton in 1999 and again in 2012. He was diagnosed with a relapse last year.
Doctors had given him only a 25 per cent chance of surviving a third battle with leukemia.
"Another big step forward in my journey back to a normal life again," he wrote on his Instagram account.
