English has been signed from Ovens and Murray league club Wodonga, where he played four senior games last year.
Towners coach Justin Abrams said English would add to the club’s inside midfield stocks.
English booted 33 goals from 14 appearances in the Wodonga reserves last season.
Abrams is also looking forward to seeing Matt Nolan make his debut for the club.
Nolan was recruited to Dunnstown, but didn’t play during 2017 due to an ongoing arm injury.
He shapes as a key defensive option for the side.
The Towners lost their opening eight games last season before winning the next eight to miss finals on percentage.
Dunnstown will open its new campaign with a round one battle against Bungaree on Saturday, April 7.
