Grigg is returning to his original home club Moama in the Murray league.
A former North Ballarat Rooster in the VFL, he arrived at the Bloods with a fanfare as a key goalkicking forward from Aberfeldie in the Essendon District league.
Grigg struggled to find his best with Melton – saving some of his better football for late in the season when the Bloods made a charge at the finals.
He joins former coach Brad Murphy, Michael Liciardo, Mark Maric, Brock McGregor, Matthew Polan, Nathan Wallace, Damon Falzon and Dillon Sharp among departures for new non-playing coach Aaron Tymms to deal with.
On the plus side, Williamstown 22-year-old Jake Greiser is taking on Melton as his home club.
From Keilor and a former Western Jet, Greiser was a big improver for the Seagulls last year – playing 16 VFL games as close checking “lock-down” defender.
