Administration on the agenda at meeting of leagues in Bungaree

A desire to operate independently and not be forced to join regional administration centres will drive a large group of football/netball league representatives to a meeting in Bungaree on Sunday.

The Central Highlands Football League will have members present at the gathering.

Meeting organiser and Geelong and District league president Neville Whitley said there had been pressure put on leagues not currently involved in regional administration centres to join by the start of 2019.

“The costs of being in the hub are going up all the time and we just believe it’s too expensive for clubs and leagues to be in that system when they can do it a lot cheaper outside it,” he said.
