Three teams in a last round battle for fourth position in Ballarat District Bowls Division division one pennant.
Creswick goes into Saturday’s round 18 in fourth, but with only two-point advantage over Central Wendouree and Ballarat.
Just about anything could happen.
Statistically, Ballarat East (second) and City Oval (third) are also potentially in the firing line, but their draws suggest they are semi-finals bound.
Ballarat East meets Mt Xavier (seventh) and City Oval faces bottom team Sebastopol.
With Central Wendouree and Ballarat facing off, Creswick must win to keep the winner of that contest at bay.
Creswick will start favourite at home against Webeconna, but it will feel the pressure.
Central Wendouree and Ballarat are effectively playing an elimination final. While victory will not guarantee climbing into the top four, it is a must to have a chance of chasing down Creswick
LADDER: Buninyong 174 points, Ballarat East 167, City Oval 166, Creswick 155, Central Wendouree 153, +91 shots, Ballarat 153, +79, Mt Xavier 144, Learmonth 140, Webbcona 109, Sebastopol 79
MEANWHILE, Geelong-Ballarat Premier Division pennant still has two rounds to play.
The top three appear well and truly locked in, with Bareena favourite to retain top position. Just six points second-placed Queenscliff and Ocean Grove in third.
Queenscliff gets a real chance of open up this margin on Saturday when it makes to meet a patchy BMS at Alfredton.
BMS has not won since whiterwashing Victoria in round 13, but it has had a tough run with clases with Bareena and Sebastopol.
Ocean Grove comes up against Bareena, which although comfortably on top is not unbeatable after losing to Queenscliff not that long ago.
As big as that match-up is, Sebastopol faces an equally important assignment as it looks to lock up fourh position and ensure the finals are not an all-Geelong series.
The Burra has an 18-point break over Lara and this should be enough.
However, Sebastopol will not want to be leaving anything to chance despite a favourable draw and will want to take the bulk of the points on the road against Eastern Park.
Eastern Park has been off the pace each time it has played a team from the top bracket and this should be the case again.
LADDER: Bareena 203, +222 shots; Queenscliff 186, 263; Ocean Grove 180, 205; Sebastopol 157, 52; Lara 139, 5; Victoria 136, -35; Eastern Park 115, -73; BMS 97, -235; Webbcona 85, -112; City of Geelong 52, -292
