Under the guidance of new head coach Adam Vranesic, they take on newly promoted state league one’s Old Xaverians in the Team App Cup second round after having a bye in the round of 64.
Strikers’ recruits include midfielder Ash Blackburn from Vic Park in the Ballarat District Soccer Association and defender Jasmine Emselle, who returns to the club after taking last year off.
Squad: Claire Demuth, Nat Barbara, Alannah Stevens, Alysha Reisacher, Kassy Stabb, Paige Daly (goalkeeper), Sarah Ham, Ali Haywood, Ash Blackburn, Jasmine Emselle, Maddy Vranesic, Molly Esmonde, Rose Lewis, Sophie Kakz, Jordy Donald, Maggie Hutchinson.
Strikers are preparing to play in state league two, which starts on April 15, after being relegated at the end of last season.
Sunday’s match starts at 3pm.
