A MAN has fronted court following a high-speed pursuit on Thursday night, but made no application for bail.Benjamin Schultz, 24, appeared briefly in Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday morning where he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance scheduled for February 2. He faces at least 28 charges, including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous and a number of firearms related charges. According to charge sheets obtained by The Courier, Schultz is alleged to have driven at 120km/h in a 50km/h zone and failed to stop upon police request in Ballarat on Thursday. In February 2010 he allegedly stole a .22 calibre SAKO rim-fire rifle, which, according to the charge sheets, he was carrying on Thursday.
