WEATHER

Ballarat will shape up to be a sunny 15 degrees after one of the coldest nights of the year. 

Ballarat dropped to 1.5 degrees at 3.14 this morning, building to reach five degrees at 8am. 

POLICE

Ballarat Police had nothing to report. 

Meanwhile, Williamstown Police are increasing their patrols after reports a dog ate meat laden with fish hooks this morning. 

The golden retriever needed surgery worth more than $3000 to remove the hook. 

FIRE

Ballarat City Fire reported a very quiet evening, with only one call out to an incident in Camp Street overnight.

Ambulance and SES had nothing to report.

The Modellers of Ballarat Club are holding its 13th annual Ballarat Regional Scale Model Exhibition and Swap 'n' Sell today at the Caro Convention Centre at Federation University Australia's Mt Helen Campus. 

The day runs from 10am - 4pm, with a gold coin donation on entry with all proceeds going towards the Make-A-Wish Australia Ballarat volunteer branch.
