Swimming: two more Ballarat club swimmers through to finals at age championships

Two Ballarat swimmers have qualified for finals at the Victorian Age Swimming Championships at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Hayley Tucker from Ballarat Gold Swimming Club will compete in the finals of the girls' 16-years 100m breaststroke.

Andrew McDougall from Ballarat GCO Swimming Club has also made it as far as the finals, for the boys' 16-years 100m breaststroke.

Meanwhile Thomas Halliday of Ballarat Gold, who qualified the finals in the boys' 16 years 200m butterfly yesterday, just missed a finals place in the boys' 16 years 400m freestyle, finishing 11.

He is first emergency for that event and will race if there is a late withdrawal for the final.

Finals commence at 6pm.
