LOOKING back to their first few years as a duo, the Yacht Club DJs admit they weren't the most professional of DJs.

"When we started, we were brats," the pair's Gareth 'Gaz' Harrison told The Courier.
"When we got on stage, anything could happen and we'd walk away with bruises and broken legs and not remember what we did. We partied too hard."
As the new year approaches, these Ballarat boys can proudly say that they've matured - in many respects.
"We have plans going into things rather than turning up and letting whatever happens happen.
"We let our shows have themes and make everything more interactive for the audience. We know exactly what people want.
"We're still the same crazy party animals we always were but we're probably better at it."
Made up of Harrison and Guy Chappell-Lawrence, the Yacht Club DJs have kept their fans close through the release of many an underground mixtape as well as though national tours and festivals appearances including Splendour In The Grass, Meredith Music Festival and Falls Festival.
This year, the pair was personally invited by English folk rock band Mumford & Sons to perform at their Gentleman Of The Road Festival, an event which Harrison described as a highlight of the year.
"They (Mumford & Sons) absolutely loved it. They were dancing with us and were all on stage with us. It was really special."
Now, Yacht Club is back on the road staging several shows around the country as part of an ad-hoc tour. And after a typically busy 2012, these guys can hardly believe the end of the year is nigh.
"It feels like 10 minutes ago we were doing out first tour and now it's the end of the year," Harrison said.
"You scratch your head and wonder where it all went."It's been a really great year. Every tour we've been on has been a barrel of fun," he said.
