The advice to residents about road closures has been second to none. Living in an affected area, no problem knowing what is coming up and plenty of time to plan around it.
Yes, I did have to plan a circuitous route on Wednesday and for some of Thursday, but not so hard.
Personally, I did not decide to drive from Lake Gardens to Alfredton Aldi, or spend half an hour trying - it was pretty easy to find an alternative.
I do feel for the volunteers who were subjected to abuse though.
Small interruptions do tend to excite small minds - people I have spoken to though, have been delighted with the event.
What a sight on Thursday evening. Thousands were supporting the cyclists in a magnificent setting - it was quite staggering.
What a great ad for Ballarat - all at my slightest inconvenience - and yes I do run a small business and yes, I am happy to wear the "inconvenience".
Can't wait for next year.
