Triple gold for Ballarat Sebastopol Cycling Club member

FIRST year rider Jake Ashmore captured a golden treble in the Victorian under-11 track cycling championships at Preston on Sunday.

Ashmore took out the 200-metre flying sprint, six lap (1950m) scratch race and 500m time trial title.

The Ballarat Sebastopol Cycling Club member also claimed victory in a non-championship four-lap handicap from scratch at the carnival.

His clubmate Graeme Frislie earned two gold medals in the under-13 boys’ division.

Frislie has enjoyed a successful summer and was on top of the podium for the scratch race and flying 200m.

He was fourth in the 500m time trial.

Frislie had a mix of placings in support events.

Rochelle Liston was a bronze medallist in the under-13 scratch race over eight laps (2600m).

She added a fourth in the flying 200m sprint and fifth in the time trial.
