Dean Gioutsos, dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, wandered through the carriages and talked to V/Line customers on the service arriving at 11.35am at Ballarat station and then back to Southern Cross.
“People have wanted to take photos with us,” Mr Gioutos said. “Everyone has been friendly and having a bit of a laugh, and we’ve given them a flier about the Hollywood Costume exhibition.”
V/Line has partnered with ACMI to offer customers with valid V/Line train tickets concession entry to the Hollywood Costume exhibition at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image at Federation Square in Melbourne’s CBD.
V/Line spokesman James Kelly said they were great characters as everybody could recognise and identify with them even if they hadn’t seen those movies.
The exhibition, open until August 18, explores the role costume design plays in cinema and brings together the most iconic costumes from across a century of filmmaking.
