The event, held at the Redline Raceway in Buninyong, will feature five different classes of racing including the AMCA Nationals, Limited Sportsman, Formula V8s and Standard Saloons - all of which will support the premier street stock race.
Among the entrants are three drivers from South Australia and former Australian champion Anthony Beare.
The race was originally scheduled for early December but was cancelled due to poor weather conditions, which Redline Raceway president Mick Purdie believes has been a blessing in disguise.
“We’ve actually picked up more entries since we’ve moved the event back – our numbers have gone from 44-46 to 51 entrants,” Purdie said. “It was the first time we had it last year and it was so successful that we’ve decided to go with it again, I’d like to get at least 1000 spectators on Saturday night.
“The track is in brilliant condition and it will make for one of the best races in the Victorian calendar.”
The drivers will race three 10-lap eliminator rounds, changing direction every interval with the bottom eight cars dropping out until there are 24 left to contest the 15-lap final. Racing starts at 4.30pm on Saturday and will wrap up at 11pm.
