The Shepparton and Cranbourne cups champion looks as though he will chase further country feature race success in the group 1 event on Saturday night.
Champion Smoken Up was one of five horses nominated by trainer Lance Justice, while Smythes Creek trainer Emma Stewart holds the hopes of a local victory with Restrepo and Metro Mike amongst the possible starters.
The final field and barrier draw will be declared at a special Ballarat and District Trotting Club breakfast tomorrow morning.
