BDBD meets to talk of promotions

BALLARAT District Bowls Division’s match committee will have one of the first official post-season tasks.

It will meet to determine pennant promotions and relegations.

Country-based clubs demonstrated a dominance of the BDBD this season, winning seven of nine grand finals.

Central Wendouree (division one) and City Oval (division five) were the only exceptions.

The country victors: Creswick (division two), Linton and District (division three), Learmonth (division four), Invermay (division six), Buninyong (division seven); Clunes (division eight),  (Ballan (division nine).

Central Wendouree will compete in the division one pennant regional final at Maryborough Highlands on Saturday, with the winner progressing to state finals.

I managed to select just five grand final winners. It is time to quit.

See you on the greens next season.

Rod Lindsay is BDBD secretary
