The annual Walk for the Kids around Lake Wendouree starts at 10am at the rotunda near the Adventure Playground.
Up to 500 walkers are expected to stroll the 6.1 kilometres to raise awareness and money for Cops n’ Kids Camps, Support4Cancer, TLC for Kids and Peter’s Projects.
“People can wander up and just join in. At the end there will be a sausage sizzle, some raffle tickets and some merchandise on sale, which is where we are hoping to raise the funds,” said organiser Shane Darroch.
It is the third annual Walk for the Kids walk. Last year more than 300 walkers took part, raising about $5000.
