Black Opal Magic became the latest to set a new track record - running 24.874 in the Lion Quality Products Free-For-All last night.
The record has been tumbling on a regularly basis over the past few months.
Magic Diva set the ball rolling with 24.96 second on February 5.
Hooksy then ran 24.94 before Phenomenal reduced the mark to 24.88 earlier this month.
The Jason Thompson-trained Black Magic Opal ($1.10) did not have everything his own way last night.
He had only 1.5 lengths to spare over Ride The Rails, which also ran a sizzling time of 24.976.
Black Magic Opal has the outstanding race record of 32 wins in 43 starts for $530,000.
It was his first Ballarat start since May last year - his only start at the venue - when he won in 25.027.
