It's not winter just yet but it sure does feel like it. We've had 21.6 mm of rain since Tuesday, making this the first major deluge of the year.
Good news for farmers: the rain just keeps coming, today will be more of the same with a top of 17 degrees.
POLICE
There has been a truck accident on the Western Highway on the Ararat side of Beaufort.
3AW is reporting that a truck carrying frozen chicken has rolled over near Middle Creek at 5am.
Police said there were no injuries however they are diverting traffic in both directions to the Sunraysia Highway.
FIRE
Ballarat City Fire said they attended a job where a transformer box on a power pole caught fire in Lake Gardens.
That led to a few flow on calls from other power lines sparking, however it was sorted out promptly.
There was also a false alarm for a structure fire at a factory in Dowling Street.
And the rain doesn't appear to agree with the Ballarat Law Court, with water coming through the roof also causing an alarm.
AMBULANCE
Nothing to report.
SES
Nothing to report as yet.
V/LINE
The V/line website is not reporting any delays this morning on the Ballarat line.
