The McDonalds Reds' National Premier League Victoria fixture against Heidelberg United on Sunday has been postponed, to now be played on Easter Monday.
NPLV announced the postponement just after 5.30pm last night via Twitter, with poor pitch conditions to blame.
The abandonment means two of the first four matches for the Reds have been delayed, after their highly anticipated debut match in the NPLV against Bentleigh Greens was cancelled at the last minute, due to thunderstorms and poor lighting.
The Reds will make the return trip to Melbourne on Monday, April 21, to take on Heidelberg United at Olympic Village to complete the fixture.
Their next match is scheduled to take place on Thursday night, as they again hit the road to take on South Melbourne.
Despite just playing two matches thus far, Ballarat sits in fourth position on NPLV table.
With two wins from both their matches, the Reds join South Melbourne as the only side to maintain a 100 per cent winning record.
Dom Swinton has scored two goals so far for the season, having scored one goal in both matches.
